McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture Announces the Addition of Stuart Barber

CHARLESTON, SC – July 17, 2012 – McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture announced the addition of Stuart Barber, AIA, LEED AP to the Charleston office.  Stuart received a BA in Design and a Master of Architecture from Clemson University. Stuart has been lead designer and project architect for many project types including medical office, mixed-use, multi-family and hospitality with his main body of work in early childhood and elementary schools and notably, senior living. 

He has managed many facility projects involving skilled nursing, short term rehab and wellness and assisted and independent living.  As a designer with a passion for improving the lives of both residents and staff, he stays up to date on current trends with an eye toward evidence-based design.  He realizes the importance of understanding the senior living industry from a business and operational stance to design facilities based on their real needs.

The Healthcare Studio at McMillan Pazdan Smith is focused on the design of functional, yet compassionate environments that promote healing and rehabilitation. Special attention is given to the creation of environments that cost less to staff, service and maintain. Office locations include Charleston, Greenville and Spartanburg, SC, Atlanta, GA and Asheville, NC.
