Mechanical Systems & Services Acquires HVAC Unit of Thompson Construction Group

COLUMBIA & MYRTLE BEACH, SC – Mechanical Systems & Services Inc. (MSS), a leading specialist in HVAC system installation, repair, replacement, preventative maintenance and retrofitting in the Carolinas, today announced it has acquired the HVAC division of Sumter, S.C.-based Thompson Construction Group Inc.
The acquisition enables Charlotte-based MSS, doing business as MSS Solutions, to meet the needs of commercial and industrial clients in the coastal region of South Carolina and expands the company’s footprint to all S.C. markets, including existing operations serving Columbia and the Upstate. The business unit, based in Myrtle Beach with an office in Charleston, will operate as Thompson HVAC/A Division of MSS.
