Proceeds to Benefit Midlands Housing and Homeless Programs

The Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc. (MIRCI) is holding its annual benefit, Merry MIRCI Holiday, at Hotel Trundle on Wednesday, December 4th 6 p.m. The event will benefit MIRCI’s Housing and Homeless Programs in the Midlands.

Aleph Wine Corporation will provide four master sommeliers to lead guests on a tour around the world through a wine tasting and food pairing.

“MIRCI is a local nonprofit that has been serving Richland and Lexington counties for 59 years, and we are thrilled to have the support of local businesses, especially during the Holiday season,” said Executive Director, Julie Ann Avin.

The event will include eight exclusive wines from around the world thoughtfully paired with hors d’oeuvres prepared by Mary Greene, MIRCI’s 2019 Donald-Harding volunteer of the year award recipient.

About Hotel Trundle

Hotel Trundle, owned by husband and wife team Marcus Munse and Rita Patel, opened its doors in April 2018 and is located at 1224 Taylor Street in downtown Columbia. Wrapped in color, creativity, and charm, the 41-room jewel resides inside of three historic buildings combined into one—the first of its kind in all of downtown Columbia. They have rewritten the rules of Southern Hospitality with a unique blend of curated guest experiences and services, good old fashion thoughtfulness, and an eclectic, 20s-era Art Deco style.
