Mentors Selected for Liberty Fellowship’s 11th Class

21 Exceptional Leaders Interested in Paying it Forward
Drawing from their own business success and life experiences, the 21 Mentors announced today for Liberty Fellowship’s 11th class play a key role in each Fellow’s seminar experience. Through regular meetings, shared insight and thoughtful introductions, Mentors help guide Fellows as they navigate moving from success to significance and making a greater impact in South Carolina.
“South Carolina has a deep well of incredibly accomplished leaders from which to draw for these senior advisors roles, including those selected this year,” commented Hayne Hipp, who co-founded Liberty Fellowship with his wife, Anna Kate. “Pair each one with a Liberty Fellow in the class of 2016, and you have a dynamic duo working to make this state better.”
Liberty Fellows are selected, in part, for their potential to make an impact at the state level. Matching them with a Mentor who has traveled this path is one part of the Liberty Fellowship experience. Fellows also attend four seminars over two years, including the Aspen Institute Globalization Seminar, which places them with Fellows from similar programs around the world. One of the main functions of the mentor relationship is to provide principled guidance to the Fellows in their personal project, the final component of the program.
Executive Director Jennie Johnson added, “We track progress of these relationships closely and have noted over the last few years that it is a mutually beneficial, give and take relationship. The Fellow and the Mentor learn from each other and encourage one another to move from thought to action to move South Carolina forward.”
