CAMDEN, SC – The Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County (FAC) brings artist Michael Story back to our campus during his current exhibition, Landscapes & Jazz Greats in the Bassett Gallery of the FAC. The exhibition runs through October 20th. The 3-day workshop will focus on pastel or oil painting and is being held Friday, October 10; Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12. The price to attend this workshop is $100 per day. You may attend one, two or all three. There will be a one hour break for lunch. Attendees may complete an oil or pastel already in progress, start a new work, or begin painting from one of Story’s references. Please register by October 6.

Michael Story’s approach to teaching is consistent—get familiar with fundamentals. He believes a shared, creative environment allows students to exchange ideas and accelerate your painting progress more quickly. “Adhere to the basic disciplines of the art of painting and you will learn to grow,” he said. The class will be held in the art classroom of the Daniels Educational Building located on the FAC Campus at 810 Lyttleton Street, Camden.
