Midlands Education and Business Alliance Hosts Uptown Careers Field Study for Midlands Educators

COLUMBIA, SC – December 11, 2007 – Midlands Education and Business Alliance (MEBA) will host an Uptown Careers Field Study for Midlands educators on Thursday, December 13, 2007, from 8:15 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and will begin in the 1st floor conference room of the Wachovia Building at 1441 Main Street.  The event is part of MEBA’s Educator Field Studies Series that brings together teachers, counselors and administrators for a day of in-depth learning about a specific career cluster.  Thursday’s field study will highlight careers in law, accounting, marketing, finance, and banking support services and provide educators the opportunity to learn firsthand from professionals about the skills needed today for tomorrow’s workforce.
