Midlands Students to Learn About Careers in Engineering, Industrial Technologies and Healthcare

COLUMBIA, SC – October 14, 2008 – TheEngineering & Industrial Technologies Career Day, “Your Blue Print for the Future,” is being hosted by MEBA and its Architecture & Construction; Manufacturing; and Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics Alliances. The Healthcare Career Day, “Your Prescription for the Future,” is being hosted by MEBA and its Health & Human Service Alliance. Midlands Technical College’s Office of Recruitment and Community Outreach is also co-hosting both Career Days.

 

Who:

Midlands students to learn about careers in engineering, industrial technologies and healthcare at two Midlands Education and Business Alliance (MEBA) Career Days. 

 

What:

TheEngineering & Industrial Technologies Career Day, “Your Blue Print for the Future,” is being hosted by MEBA and its Architecture & Construction; Manufacturing; and Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics Alliances. The Healthcare Career Day, “Your Prescription for the Future,” is being hosted by MEBA and its Health & Human Service Alliance. Midlands Technical College’s Office of Recruitment and Community Outreach is also co-hosting both Career Days. 

Approximately 300 Midlands students with relative career interests and their teachers are expected to attend each event. Attending students will have the opportunity to speak directly with industry professionals, participate in hands-on learning activities, and view exhibits.

Both Career Days will be held at the Midlands Technical College’s Airport Campus, Academic Center.
