Midlands Technical College recognized for workforce development

September 8, 2020

The Transatlantic Business & Investment Council (TBIC) has welcomed Midlands Technical College into its membership network.

The organization’s mission is to “promote transatlantic trade and investment” between North America and Europe. In announcing the designation, MTC was recognized as the “TBIC Member of the Month” for September.

“From the Enterprise Campus to all of our locations, we work every day to help businesses develop and grow,” said Chuck Whipple, Executive Director of the MTC Enterprise Campus Authority. “From the time companies get started through all stages of growth, we work alongside employers to provide the workforce they need.”

About TBIC College Certification Program: “Regional workforce development is a key pillar of economic development efforts – both in the domestic and international market. It decreases unemployment, retains talent in the area and closes the skills gap, thereby providing a pipeline for both existing and prospective employers. Community and technical colleges stand as a key vehicle for this purpose: they provide technical education at an affordable rate and close to home.”
