MIRCI announces addition of five new board members

Mental Illness Recovery Center Inc. (MIRCI) welcomes five new professionals to its Board of Directors in 2021.

Lucy Easler, PhD., Director of Behavioral Care Services for Prisma Health; Mary Winter Teaster, Senior Brokerage Associate for Colliers International; Rev. Chris Leevy Johnson, PhD., President and Managing Director of Leevy’s Funeral Home; Tosin Adelakun, Pharm.D., of Nephron Pharmaceuticals; and Elaine Delk, Development Consultant, have all agreed to lend their talents, experience, and unique viewpoints to help MIRCI move forward into the future. They join a dynamic team that includes Woody Moore (Board Chair), Debbie Hamm, PhD. (Vice-Chair), Ted Pitts, Ronny Burkett, Bill Tindall, Samantha Queen, Shayla Merritt, Brad Shell, and Patricia Hartis.

“As MIRCI continues to grow and expand the services we offer to our community’s most vulnerable populations, we are grateful to have such a focused, enthusiastic Board of Directors to guide us in accomplishing our mission,” said Julie Ann Avin, MIRCI’s Executive Director.

MIRCI provides vital assistance to youth, young adults, and adults who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Program offerings include, Supportive Permanent Housing, Benefits Assistance, and other behavioral healthcare services.
