MIRCI’s 52 Windows event returns

April 26, 2022

The Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc. (MIRCI) will host its 52 Windows event, at 701 Whaley Street on Thursday, May 5 at 6 p.m.

An evening of art, 52 Windows, will feature the works of artists: Anderson Riley, Bonnie Goldberg, Christi Arnett, K. Wayne Thornley, Leah Richardson, Nancy Tuten, Shannon Bygottt, Susan Hansen Staves, Taylor Kienker and Wilma King. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase works by these featured artists in addition to pieces provided by friends of MIRCI.

“We are thrilled to welcome the community back to our celebration of art and healing,” said Julie Ann Avin, Executive Director of MIRCI. “The artists have offered beautiful work and the elegant food and great music promise an enjoyable evening,” Avin added.

The event will include a silent auction, heavy hour d’oeuvres provided by Aberdeen Catery, an open bar, and live music by The Red Shack Pickers.

The proceeds raised from the event will benefit MIRCI’s Housing and Homeless services. MIRCI provides services to individuals who are homeless and have a mental illness. The Housing programs help transition individuals, families, and unaccompanied youth into stable supported housing. Special thanks to Gold Sponsors, Dr. Debbie and Steve Hamm.
