Mission Lexington selects Fitts & Goodwin to build new campus

Mission Lexington announced the selection of Fitts & Goodwin, Inc. as general contractor and McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture as architect for its highly anticipated new campus on North Lake Drive in Lexington. The appointments mark a significant milestone as the long-awaited project moves from vision to reality. Todd Sease and Lori Long of McMillan Pazdan Smith and Anne Bell and Thomas Fitts of Fitts & Goodwin will serve as key partners to Mission Lexington leadership throughout the project.
Diligent planning, fundraising, and community support is underway. Mission Lexington will celebrate this milestone with a Groundbreaking Ceremony on Friday, August 28, at 8:30 a.m. Community leaders, donors, volunteers, partners, and supporters are invited to attend as the organization celebrates the next chapter in its nearly 50-year history of serving Lexington County.
The Mission on the Move campaign was created in response to the growing needs of the community and Mission Lexington’s commitment to ensuring that no neighbor in crisis goes without hope, help, and compassionate care. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of individuals, churches, businesses, foundations, civic organizations, and community partners, the campaign has reached a pivotal milestone, and construction is ready to begin.

The new campus was designed by McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture, an award-winning architecture, planning, and interior design firm known throughout the Southeast for creating innovative, community-centered spaces. Working closely with Mission Lexington, the firm designed a facility that will significantly expand the organization’s capacity while creating an inviting, efficient environment for neighbors, volunteers, donors, and community partners.
Once completed, the campus will provide expanded space for Mission Lexington’s food assistance programs, social services, volunteer operations, donation processing, administrative offices, and community engagement. The new facility will enable the organization to meet the increasing demand for services while positioning Mission Lexington for continued growth and impact throughout Lexington County.
Mission Lexington currently serves as one of Lexington County’s primary providers of crisis assistance, meeting more than 69,000 needs annually helping individuals and families regain stability and hope.
