MLK Pool to close for maintenance work

The MLK, Jr. Pool located at 155 Jackson Street will close Sunday, Jan. 8 while improvements are made to the locker rooms and lobby. The work, which includes a fresh coat of paint, the replacement of hardware in the locker rooms—sinks, mirrors toilets, hooks, etc.—and light fixtures in the locker rooms and lobby, is expected to take a week to complete.
During the closure, the 25-meter pool at the W.L. Stephens Aquatic Center located at 780 W. Oak Forest Drive will be open for lap swim, swim team practices and water exercise classes.
