Molina Healthcare to Match Donations Dollar-for-Dollar

COLUMBIA, SC – Molina Healthcare of South Carolina announced a leadership gift made to Children’s Trust of South Carolina to support fundraising during Child Abuse Prevention Month in April.

Molina Healthcare will match all unrestricted donations that month up to $15,000 to assist Children’s Trust, South Carolina’s leader for the prevention of child abuse, neglect and injuries. Children’s Trust, which serves as the home to Prevent Child Abuse South Carolina, the state chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America, coordinates Child Abuse Prevention Month activities through its partners across the state.

Children’s Trust Chief Development Officer Adrienne Bellinger acknowledges the importance of the gift.

“We applaud Molina Healthcare for its leadership, social responsibility and commitment to prevention,” Bellinger said. “This gift will have tremendous impact on at-risk families and children.”

“We are honored to make a meaningful contribution to Children’s Trust of South Carolina in support of their child abuse prevention activities,” said Tom Lindquist, president of Molina Healthcare of South Carolina. “This donation illustrates our commitment to carry out our mission of providing access to resources and making a positive impact in our community.”

A campaign, Five-to-Thrive, will be promoted during April centered on the five protections proven to reduce child abuse and neglect. Children’s Trust uses CrowdRise.com as a platform for individuals and organizations to host their own fundraisers on behalf of the organization. Donations can also be made to Children’s Trust through its website at scchildren.org/donate.

Bellinger adds, “We encourage those who care about keeping the children of South Carolina free from abuse and neglect to make a donation this month. A contribution now will double and help us use the Molina match to its fullest potential.”

All funds raised will support the work of Children’s Trust to prevent child abuse, neglect and injuries of South Carolina’s children.
