Monster Mash on Main Street brings trunk-or-treat fun to downtown Clinton Oct. 29

The City of Clinton is partnering with the South Carolina Department of Social Services to host Monster Mash on Main Street, a trunk-or-treat event set for Thursday, Oct. 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. in downtown Clinton at 122 E. Main St.

The free community event will feature music, face painting, plenty of candy and a few frights for families looking to get into the Halloween spirit a few days early.

Children and adults are encouraged to come dressed in costume. Those who do can enter a costume contest for a chance to win a prize.

Trunk-or-treat events give families a safe, central place for children to collect candy as they move from one decorated vehicle or table to the next.

Organizers are looking for local businesses, agencies and community groups to take part. Opportunities are available for sponsors, vendors and participants who would like to set up a decorated trunk or table to hand out candy.

Organizations interested in sponsoring the event or reserving a trunk or table can sign up by scanning the QR code on the event flyer, which is posted on the City of Clinton’s social media pages.
