Morris-Jenkins expands to Greer, commits to 120 jobs in first year

When Morris-Jenkins opened its new Greenville-area location on May 16, Greer Mayor Rick Danner joined company leaders for a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by more than 300 community members, local families and media representatives.
The Charlotte-based company has hired 70 employees for its Greer operation and is actively recruiting for 50 additional positions, representing a first-year commitment of 120 jobs in the Upstate.
Company officials said the positions include paid training opportunities starting at $18 per hour for employees with no prior experience. Experienced technicians can earn up to $150,000 annually.
Founded in 1958, Morris-Jenkins has grown from a single truck operation in Charlotte to become one of the region’s largest providers of HVAC, plumbing and electrical services, employing more than 650 people across the greater Charlotte area.
The company said its expansion into Greer reflects its long-term investment strategy and confidence in the Upstate market.
The grand opening event attracted 496 RSVPs and drew more than 300 attendees. The free community celebration featured food trucks, children’s activities and entertainment for local families.
Mayor Danner participated in the ceremony, highlighting the economic impact of the company’s arrival and the creation of new jobs in the region.
