Morton & Gettys attorney Nate Pierce becomes president of York County Bar

As of May 19, Nate Pierce is the new president of the York County Bar Association.

The Rock Hill native has practiced since 2017 with Morton & Gettys, focusing on civil litigation, including construction and business disputes.

“This position is a clear indication of the regard with which Nate is held in the legal community,” Morton & Gettys co-founder John Gettys said. “It’s particularly impressive that he’s been elected to such a prestigious office at a young age.”

Pierce received his juris doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2016. He is admitted to practice in North Carolina as well as South Carolina and is a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar, as well as York County’s. He is also a member of the Rock Hills Schools Foundation.

Pierce earned his bachelor’s degree in economics at Clemson University in 2012.
