Morton & Gettys Partner Owen Appointed to York County Natural Gas Authority Board

ROCK HILL, SC – Elizabeth Smith Owen, a partner at Morton & Gettys, has been appointed to a three-year term on the York County Natural Gas Authority Board.

The South Carolina State Senate confirmed Owen’s appointment to the board in April.

The gas authority is a not-for-profit corporation that provides residential, commercial and industrial gas service throughout York County and northeast Cherokee County. The company maintains more than 1,000 miles of distribution mains that serve over 58,000 customers.

Owen’s practice at Morton & Gettys focuses on family law, education law, and personal injury. She has a history of public and government service, including serving as a part-time municipal judge for the City of York for several years.
