Moss and Associates Selected as Design/Build Team for Clemson University Center for Human Genetics

Construction on Greenwood Genetic Center Campus to begin this month
GREENWOOD, SC – The Greenwood Genetic Center (GGC) announced that Moss and Associates of Greenville, SC has been selected to design and construct the Clemson University Center for Human Genetics in Greenwood. This project represents an expansion of the 20 plus year research and educational partnership of GGC and Clemson University.
The Center design represents a 17,000 sq ft life sciences lab facility on Clemson’s 16.7 acre tract located in the midst of GGC’s research campus. The building will include laboratory space, offices and seminar/conference rooms. The new research and education center will support the expansion of genetic research including current programs in autism and cognitive development. Six research teams composed of scientist from the Greenwood Genetic Center and Clemson University are currently pursuing novel diagnostics and therapeutics for application in autism and related disorders and in oncology diagnostics. The facility will house up to eight new research teams including graduate students participating in the joint taught PhD in Genetics.
