Motley Rice Investigates Civil Claims on Behalf of Reville-Identified Abuse Victim

Law firm seeks information from other ReVille victims and witnesses

MT. PLEASANT, SC – December 8, 2011 – A former student of Charleston-area teacher and coach Louis “Skip” ReVille, who was recently identified by ReVille as one of his victims, has now retained plaintiffs’ law firm Motley Rice LLC. Motley Rice attorneys believe that others, including victims and their family members, may have information that could help their investigation into the potential civil liability of ReVille’s former employers, including Pinewood Preparatory School.

Because of the numerous jobs and volunteer positions he held in his short career, ReVille had frequent exposure and interaction with children throughout the Lowcountry. The positions he held include: Citadel camp counselor, Pinewood Preparatory School teacher and basketball coach, Coastal Christian Preparatory School vice principal, travel league basketball team coach, Bishop England tennis coach, Moultrie Middle School basketball coach, Rollings Middle School basketball coach, Mt. Pleasant Recreation Department employee, Velocity Sports Performance employee, bible study leader, foster parent and Eastbridge Presbyterian Church youth group leader.

“That ReVille hurt so many children is a tragedy. Institutions and their leaders that ignored or covered up these alleged crimes allowed ReVille to hurt more children. We encourage anyone with information to come forward soon so that any person or institution that enabled ReVille can be held accountable, said Joe Rice, lawyer for one of ReVille’s victims.

Motley Rice represents this client with attorney William H. Nixon, Jr. of Charleston, S.C. Nixon, who focuses his practice in criminal law, is assisting the client in working with law enforcement and navigating the criminal justice system.
