Mullinnix, Streisel Join Nelson Mullins in Charleston

CHARLESTON, SC – Phillip Mullinnix and Bobby Streisel have joined the Charleston office of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP as associates.

Mr. Mullinnix will focus his practice on healthcare. He will advise and represent healthcare clients in a range of regulatory, operational, and licensing matters, including health information privacy and security compliance, fraud and abuse, and healthcare compliance matters. He has previous professional experience as a summer associate with the Firm and completed the Judicial Observation Experience Program with the Honorable Dana A. Morris in Columbia, S.C.  He also completed a fellowship in Representative Bob Inglis’ office in Washington, D.C. and an externship with S.C. Rep. Laurie Funderburk in Columbia, S.C. Mr. Mullinnix earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He also earned a Master of Arts in History from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Government with a concentration in American Politics, magna cum laude, from Wofford College.

Mr. Streisel will practice in the area of general litigation. He has previous professional experience as a summer law clerk for the Firm as well as for two other South Carolina law firms. He also has completed a clerkship with the South Carolina House of Representatives. He has worked as the first mate with a charter company and served as an inshore/offshore captain with another charter company. Mr. Streisel earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law and earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance, summa cum laude, from Wofford College, where he was a member of the varsity baseball team and winner of the William Stanley Hoole Award for the highest GPA of all student athletes.
