Murder, etc. podcast’s creator to speak at Endeavor’s Collaborators & Cocktails on Nov. 14

October 23, 2019

Endeavor, a coworking space for creatives, agencies and corporate marketing teams in the heart of downtown Greenville, announces that Murder, etc. podcast’s creator and host Brad Willis will speak at its next Collaborators & Cocktails speaker series on Nov. 14. AAF Greenville, the local chapter of the American Advertising Federation, is co-hosting the event, making it more available to a broad segment of Greenville’s marketing community.

Willis spent six years as an award-winning reporter for WYFF, where he began investigating the story of Charles Wakefield, a former Death Row inmate convicted in the 1975 double homicide of Greenville County’s top narcotics cop and his father. Willis will share his decades-long journey investigating the crime as well as the creative process behind producing a podcast. Attendees are encouraged to view the Murder, etc. trailer prior to the event by visiting https://murderetcpodcast.com/murder-etc-trailer/.

“Brad is a brilliant storyteller, and this is one heck of a captivating story,” said Joe Erwin, president of Erwin Creates and founder of Endeavor. “We were struck not just by Brad’s investigative journey, but by the emotional and technical process of allowing himself to take on new challenges and learning how to ‘invent his future’ in a way he’d never previously considered. I believe that’s something that everyone, especially creatives, can appreciate.”

In the years since he left television, Willis developed the online gaming news site PokerStarsBlog and worked as a freelance writer for Charlotte magazine and The Bitter Southerner. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism.

Collaborators & Cocktails starts with networking at 5 p.m., followed by the presentation and Q&A session at 5:45 p.m. The event is free to all Endeavor members and corporate members, with a very limited number of advance purchased guest tickets available for $30. Advance registration is required. No walk-ins admitted. Contact [email protected] for ticket information.
