My Sister’s House announces leadership transition
June 16, 2026The board of directors of My Sister’s House announced that Chief Executive Officer Tosha Connors (pictured) will conclude her tenure with the organization, effective July 2, after nearly nine years of leadership and service to the organization and the local community.
Since joining My Sister’s House in 2017, Connors has guided the organization through a period of significant growth and change. During her tenure, the agency expanded its services, strengthened community partnerships, and increased support for survivors of domestic violence and their families throughout the Lowcountry.
Among the milestones achieved during her leadership, My Sister’s House launched South Carolina’s first client needs assessment and community awareness survey focused on domestic violence services. Under her leadership, the organization broadened access to trauma-informed services and deepened its commitment to meeting survivors where they are, with individualized support and advocacy.
“My time at My Sister’s House has been one of the greatest honors of my career,” Connors said. “I have had the privilege of walking alongside survivors during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, and I have witnessed extraordinary courage, resilience and hope. I am extremely grateful for the team I have worked beside every day.”
Board Chair LaTasha Gandy thanked Connors for her years of service and the impact she has had on the organization.
“Tosha has helped shape My Sister’s House into the organization it is today,” Gandy said. “Her leadership, compassion and commitment to survivors have left a lasting mark on this agency and on the people we serve. On behalf of the board of directors, we thank her for her dedication and wish her continued success.”
Gandy said the board is focused on ensuring a smooth transition and supporting the organization’s staff as they continue their work throughout the region.
The board will begin a search for Connors’ successor in the coming weeks and will share updates as the process moves forward.
Services will continue without interruption during the leadership transition.
