COLUMBIA, SC – NAI Avant Senior Broker, Nick Stomski, SIOR, recently facilitated the sale of the 1556 Main Street office building in downtown Columbia, SC. Stomski represented the purchaser, M & T Investments, LLC on the acquisition of the building for $1,530,000. The developer plans to reinvigorate the historically significant structure that predates the Civil War.
The new ownership intends on maintaining the architectural appeal of the building interior with exposed solid heart pine and steel beams. The space will maintain an open ceiling concept and incorporate spiral duct work throughout. The property will stand as another example of the adaptive reuse renaissance underway along the downtown Main Street corridor.
The space will offer options for retail and professional services, as well as maintaining the flexibility for creative uses in the basement level, accessible from the main entrances.
