NAI Avant closes sale of downtown Columbia office building to Mental Illness Recovery Center

Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc., known as MIRCI, recently purchased the ±3,703 square foot office building located at 1408 Gregg Street in downtown Columbia, SC. MIRCI is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization that assists individuals with mental illness to recover in the areas of their lives impacted by their illness through housing, behavioral healthcare, and assistance with obtaining and managing their disability income.
“This property will serve as an expansion for MIRCI,” says NAI Avant broker Peyton Bryant, who represented the sellers Elliott R. Fickling, III and Dr. Judith Ann Whiting. “Due to the increase in clinical care taking place at their current administrative building on Rosewood Drive, the administrative functions of the organization will move to 1408 Gregg Street. The sellers are thrilled to have such an impactful group occupy their former office.”
The three story office building was fully renovated in 2006 and includes 6 large offices, 2 conference rooms, 4 restrooms, a break room, work room, and file room.
MIRCI purchased the building for $325,000.
