National Speaker to Address Greenville’s Nonprofit Leaders

GREENVILLE, SC – DNA Creative Communications (DNA), in partnership with the Hollingsworth Funds, the Community Foundation of Greenville, the Graham Foundation and United Way of Greenville County, announces that keynote Susan Meier of Washington, DC will present “Developing and Engaging a High Performing Board.” This event, which is part of DNA’s “Shine the Light Leadership Academy”, will take place on July 16, from 8 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Kroc Community Center, located at 424 Westfield Street in Greenville.

Susan Meier, principal of Meier & Associates brings over 25 years of governance and nonprofit experience to her work. For seven years, Susan served as the vice president of consulting and training for BoardSource, the nation’s premier governance resource for nonprofit organizations. She also served as a senior executive at Prevent Child Abuse America for 13 years. Susan is looking forward to speaking about how organizations here in Greenville can implement proven strategies to address a broad array of governance issues.

All nonprofit professionals, executive directors and board members who attend will have a chance to hear from Susan Meier, as well as local nonprofit leaders: Chandra Dillard, Director of Community Relations at Furman University, Kathy McKinney, Shareholder at Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. and Scott Baddley, President and CEO of YMCA Greenville.
