Nelson Mullins attorney Neil Grayson named BTI client service all-stars 2024

June 5, 2024

Nelson Mullins partner Neil Grayson was selected as one of the 2024 BTI Client Service All-Stars on BTI Consulting Group’s annual list. The designation is one of the industry’s highest honors, as attorneys only make the list through unsolicited nominations and proof of performance, according to the organization. Grayson was one of 296 attorneys named on this year’s list.

Grayson was chosen for his client-centered approach, which is the foundation of his financial regulatory and corporate practice.

“I try to be curious and learn as much as I can about the client’s business, and then I look for ideas to suggest or introductions I can make, even when these are unrelated to the legal work we are handling for the client,” Grayson said. “My job is to make sure the legal work we provide is excellent and timely. I am fortunate to work in a firm that has a large number of outstanding attorneys, so this makes my job easy.”

According to the BTI Consulting Group, the BTI Client Service All-Stars report is based solely on unprompted, confidential feedback from clients, adding no law firm submissions, self or firm referrals, or suggestions are accepted for inclusion. BTI interviewed more than 300 top legal decision makers at large organizations with $700 million or more in revenue. The attorneys featured in this year’s report were singled out by clients for their ideas and insights, being the first to know, providing unequivocal recommendations and their ability to look ahead.

Based in Greenville, South Carolina, Grayson heads the firm’s financial institutions corporate and regulatory practice group. He primarily represents financial institutions, FinTech companies, and alternative financial services companies, and also handles securities offerings, M&A, and corporate governance matters. He has been involved in more than 300 securities offerings or M&A transactions, ranging in size from less than $100,000 to over $100 million with a collective total deal value of nearly $6 billion. He is also a co-leader of the firm’s Social Impact, Minority Business, and Community Development Practice initiative, working with both for-profit and not-for-profit financial services businesses, including minority depository institutions and other minority-owned financial services companies.
