Nelson Mullins' Poliakoff to Address Medicare Issues at PLI Conference

CHARLESTON, SC – June 9, 2011 – Eli Poliakoff, an attorney in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP’s Charleston office, will be a featured speaker at Practising Law Institute’s Hot Topics in Commercial Insurance Law 2011, July 25-26, 2011, in New York.

Mr. Poliakoff will speak on Medicare Reporting and Recovery: New Requirements. His presentation will cover Medicare Secondary Payer program requirements, including the new MMSEA “Section 111” reporting rules, Medicare liens and recovery actions, and practical tips in implementing and applying MSP program requirements.

Mr. Poliakoff advises clients on a variety of healthcare regulatory and compliance matters including referral, fraud and abuse issues; privacy and information security obligations under HIPAA; health information technology contracting issues; and corporate and operational issues related to the healthcare industry and transactions within the healthcare industry.  He regularly advises healthcare providers, mass-tort litigants and medical equipment suppliers on compliance with the Medicare Secondary Payer program and associated regulations and administrative guidance.
