New Businesses Coming to Designers Alley

January 11, 2021

It is likely that you’ve noticed a transformation on W. Main Street in Clinton, as the Designers Alley building has undergone significant renovation. According to the owners, Laurie and Joseph Dyches, the question they’ve had to answer more than any other is “what are you planning to do with the roll-up door?”

“We purchased and renovated the property to add some vibrancy and activity to Main Street. In our vision, we see the large opening as a tool to engage the community and make a statement to the potential of this town,” said Joseph Dyches. “More importantly, we feel like the incoming businesses are strong partners in this vision and will breathe life into the City of Clinton.”

One of these tenants is Canebrake Engineering and Surveying, a full-service civil engineering and land surveying firm experienced in residential, commercial, and industrial land development. While focused in the Upstate of South Carolina, Canebrake provides clients across South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Kentucky with a superior design and construction experience.

The main storefront area of the building will serve as the local office for a top-rated residential real estate agency.  “Look for their full announcement next week, but in the meantime know that it is a name you will recognize and they will be bringing a new level of energy to W. Main,” said Laurie Dyches.

The building includes additional unfinished areas in the rear, which the owners say presents a variety of opportunities for future growth. Opening of the building is set for February 1st. On-Site Builders, located in Clinton, was the contractor for the renovation.
