New executive team completes reorganization of Serrus Capital Partners

Industry veterans bring unrivaled operational experience to SC’s premier real estate investment firm
GREENVILLE, SC – Serrus Capital Partners, a Greenville‐based real estate investment and management company, is pleased to announce the hiring of Gary Gosztonyi and Douglas Walker. These two industry veterans bring decades of real estate development and management experience to the Serrus executive team led by Chief Executive Officer Steve Mudge, Chairman Leighton Cubbage and Sundog Places President, Joel Sowers.
Gary Gosztonyi joins Serrus Capital Partners as president and chief operating officer. Recognized as a strategic problem‐solver and tenacious marketer, Gosztonyi will manage the day‐to‐day operations of the business. “My goal is to drive revenue and manage expenses to give our investors the best return‐on‐investment possible,” says Gosztonyi. “Every decision we make as a team is focused on what is best for our stakeholders and the investments they have entrusted to us.”
Douglas Walker will serve as chief financial officer of Serrus Capital Partners. A certified public accountant, Walker has spent more than two decades managing and developing controls specific to the real estate industry.
The addition of Gosztonyi and Walker is the final step in the company’s reorganization plan and larger stabilization and sales strategy. With more than 300 properties and 30 million in equity, Serrus Capital Partners is building stronger communities in the Upstate and Western North Carolina. The company’s real estate planning and development team brings more than 150 years of collective experience with builders, developers and luxury brand companies.
