New innovative equipment available through Richland Library’s collection

December 9, 2020

Richland Library is making it easier to learn, create and share from home without having to worry about the cost or capital investment. We’re expanding our Library of Things collection to include more than 70 pieces of new innovative equipment.

Here are some of the featured items that customers can choose from:

Professional Equipment

  • photobox
  • handheld gimbal stabilizer
  • software (Adobe Photoshop & Premiere)

Making Equipment

  • cordless drill kit
  • adjustable easel
  • sewing machine kit

Recreational Equipment

  • karaoke machine
  • video projection kit and large projection screen
  • outdoor game set

Customers can read borrowing guidelines, check availability and reserve equipment here: www.richlandlibrary.com/libraryofthings.
Then they can make appointments for pick-up through curbside service at our Main location (1431 Assembly Street).

Originally piloted in 2019 with the circulation of five equipment kits (podcasting; photography; microphone; backdrop; lighting), the Library of Things collection is curated to support local creatives, entrepreneurs and life-long learners in our community by reducing barriers and providing access to quality equipment. It’s made possible thanks to funding from the Google Impact Challenge.
