New interim principal named at Morningside Middle

Charleston County School District announced George R. White as interim principal at Morningside Middle School.

An accomplished educator and administrator, White boasts experience in curriculum development and implementation, educational leadership and supervision, and school operations. He excels in creating and sustaining innovative instructional strateigies to help increase student academic performance and fostering meaningful and effective relationships with community partners and families.

White began his career in CCSD in 2004 as a teacher assistant. He became a classroom teacher at the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year and served in that capacity for six years. Having demonstrated excellent instructional skills and leadership in the classroom, White was selected to become an assistant principal in the district in 2012. He has served in his role for the past 11 years.
