New Laurens County 4-H teen supper club seeks members

September 6, 2026

A new Laurens County 4-H club is looking for teens who want to gather around a table, learn everyday skills and build friendships along the way.

The Laurens County 4-H Teen Supper Club meets on third Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Laurens County Extension Office, 61 Ag Center Drive in Laurens, beginning Sept. 17.

Each month features a different life skill topic, such as basic cooking, budgeting, meal planning, communication, leadership or career readiness. Members prepare a simple meal together, take part in hands-on activities, hear from guest speakers and give back through service projects.

The club is open to youth ages 13 to 18, and enrollment is limited to 10 teens. Participation requires current 4-H membership.

Adult volunteers are also needed. The commitment is about two hours a month, and volunteers may serve when their schedules allow.

Registration, the full meeting schedule and details on the club’s supervision policy are available on the club’s Eventbrite page – click here for more information.
