New Lewis Plaza branch grand opening

- The Augusta Street Branch Also Celebrates Last Day of American Bankers Association’s “Get Smart About Credit” Initiative
While Wells Fargo team members cut the ribbon to officially celebrate the opening of the Lewis Plaza branch (1714 Augusta Street), they also hope members of the community will join them to learn more about the basics of credit and financial literacy, on the final day of the American Bankers Association “Get Smart About Credit” program.
Wells Fargo annually partners with the American Bankers Association for its “Get Smart About Credit” initiative between September 15 and November 15. Greenville-area Wells Fargo team members teach classes in schools, community centers and other community-facing organization to help young people, and others, understand how to use credit wisely and why it is important.
“I am pleased to be a part of welcoming Wells Fargo’s newly relocated Lewis Plaza branch,” said Justin Hawkins, Upstate Area President. “We invite the community to join us on Tuesday, especially to take advantage of the important and helpful information that the ‘Get Smart About Credit’ campaign provides.”
On November 15, bankers at the new Lewis Plaza location are encouraging parents and others in the area to come in to:
Receive helpful materials children and parents can use together to learn more about budgeting and making sound financial decisions (while supplies last November 15.)
Visit with a personal banker on site to discuss “Get Smart About Credit” basics
“We are delighted to celebrate our new Lewis Plaza branch,” says South Carolina Region President Kathy Heffley, “and we’re especially looking forward to talking with parents about how we can help them teach their children good financial habits. We hope they take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about how to help their children succeed.”
The new location, which employs 6 team members, is open Monday through Thursday 9A-5P and Friday, 9A-6P.
