New location for The Courage Center

On Thursday, February 22nd, The Courage Center, and the South Carolina Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services will come together for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new location of The Courage Center in Columbia – 1535-Suite D, Broad River Rd.

The Courage Center is dedicated to supporting individuals and families on their journey to recovery from substance misuse and use disorders. The organization fosters a safe and supportive environment where individuals can find solace and assistance in their pursuit of improved health and wellness.

The newly established facility will provide a range of no-cost services, including peer support, counseling, mutual aid meetings, and educational resources. With a mission to create a recovery-focused setting, The Courage Center aims to empower youth, adults, and their families to navigate the challenges of substance use disorders successfully.

Certified peer support specialists and dedicated professionals will staff the new location, offering one-on-one coaching and support to help individuals achieve and sustain long-term recovery. The facility will also connect individuals with medication-assisted treatment, harm reduction supplies, and essential community resources to encourage healthier lifestyles.

The Courage Center’s expansion represents a significant commitment to addressing the critical need for accessible and comprehensive support services for those battling substance misuse.
