Newberry Opera House invites you to #PartyinThePark this summer!
June 10, 2018Well hello, summer! It’s so good to see you again, especially after all of this crazy weather we’ve had. It’s time to get outdoors and enjoy some sunshine! While the Newberry Opera House is currently in the planning stages for next season, there are plenty of fun community events in store for you this summer!
One of the great things about summer is knowing that after a long hard week of work you can spend your weekend outside relishing in the sun. So end your week on a high note, in downtown Newberry! Almost every Friday evening during the summer starting at 6:30 P.M. weather permitting. You can come and enjoy a FREE concert in Memorial Park. Make sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket for your comfort. Tickets are not required for the concert.
This year the Newberry Opera House has invited local food trucks to join them in the park. Steelhorse Smokehouse & Carolina Cookin’ will join us in the park. Steelhorse is a participant of Pork in the Park, Taste of Newberry, and Groove ‘n Brewfest, if you have not had their delicious BBQ then you are missing out! Steelhorse Smoke House will be at the following concerts: 6/15, 6/29, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27 so make sure to come hungry!
The food truck Carolina Cookin’ a participant of Taste of Newberry and Newberry EclipseFest, will be in the park on June 22. Enjoy this traveling display of southern hospitality who offers boldly flavored, deeply satisfying dishes. With a style firmly rooted in the rich traditions of the American South, Carolina Cookin’ continuously amazes guests with original home-spun culinary creations, such as their famous Carolina Egg Roll.
