Nexsen Pruet Elects Four New Members

COLUMBIA, SC – January 2, 2009 – Nexsen Pruet announced today that Laurie Becker, Jim Blair, Jamie Hedgepath and Dennis Lynch have been elected Members (partners) of the firm. 

Laurie Becker (Columbia) practices in the areas of commercial lending, creditor rights and bankruptcy, commercial real estate, and economic development.  Ms. Becker holds a B.A. Degree, cum laude, in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Grove City College in Pennsylvania. She received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina.

src=img/jim.blairR.jpgJames A. (Jim) Blair, III (Greenville) practices in the areas of real estate development, real property transactions, real estate litigation, corporate law, and utilities. Mr. Blair earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and his law degree from the Syracuse University School of Law. He also received a Certificate in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary.

src=img/hedgepath.jpgJamie Hedgepath’s (Greenville) practice focuses on employment issues, including employment discrimination, FMLA, wage payment and employee handbook matters. Mr. Hedgepath also practices extensively in the areas of ERISA and employee benefits litigation.  He earned his undergraduate degree and an M.B.A from Clemson University and his law degree from the University of South Carolina.

src=img/lynch.jpgDennis Lynch (Columbia) practices in the firm’s business and commercial litigation group.  The majority of his practice is devoted to complex civil and antitrust litigation as well as trucking and transportation law and litigation. He also practices in the area of governmental litigation.  Mr. Lynch earned his undergraduate degree from Villanova University and his law degree from South Texas College of Law.
