Nexsen Pruet Expands Real Estate Law Practice in S.C.; Jay Hoodenpyl and Bobby Mozingo Join Firm’s Coastal Offices

MYRTLE BEACH, SC – June 25, 2012 – Nexsen Pruet announced today that Jay R. Hoodenpyl and Robert H. “Bobby” Mozingo have both joined the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. Hoodenpyl and Mozingo both bring significant real estate backgrounds and will further strengthen the firm’s presence in the coastal region.

Bobby Mozingo, joining the Charleston office, focuses his practice on commercial real estate, banking and business transactions. With more than two decades of experience as a transactional attorney, he has represented clients in all phases of commercial real estate matters. In addition, he has over six years of experience as a commercial banker. Mozingo is a licensed title insurance agent in South Carolina and an approved attorney for several nationally based title insurance companies.
Jay Hoodenpyl, joining the Myrtle Beach office, has a strong background in real estate development and leasing. He has negotiated transactions with the world’s largest department stores, more than a dozen chain restaurants and related franchises and other retail developments. He is licensed to practice in South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.

Mozingo received his undergraduate degree from Clemson University and his juris doctor from University of South Carolina School of Law. He is also a graduate of Louisiana State University’s Graduate School of Banking. Hoodenpyl earned his undergraduate degree from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and his law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville.
