June 3, 2008

Columbia, SC – June 2, 2008 – Nexsen Pruet has been selected for the 2008 Best of Columbia Award in the Patent, Trademark & Copyright Law Attorneys category by the U.S. Local Business Association (USLBA).

The USLBA Best of Local Business Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USLBA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.

“We appreciate this recognition of our firm and our attorneys who practice IP law said William “Corky” Klett, head of Nexsen Pruet’s Intellectual Property Group. This honor is a reflection of the capabilities and commitment of our team to the intellectual property needs of the industry, business, and the academic communities of Columbia and South Carolina.”

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2008 USLBA Award Program focused on quality, not quantity. Winners were determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USLBA and also by data provided by third parties.
