Next Generation of Leaders Born at RCPL

COLUMBIA, SC – June 30, 2009 –  Nine library staff members graduated from the Leadership RCPL program at the Richland County Public Library in Columbia, SC on June 25.

Designed to identify, develop and retain future library leaders, Leadership RCPL gives participants the opportunity to attend several learning events during a six-month period that focus on essential leadership skills such as team building, decision making and problem solving. This is the third year RCPL has offered this unique professional development opportunity for its staff.

The 2009 graduates from across the library system include: Kristina Brady, Sandhills Branch; Tracey Busbee, Blythewood Branch; Margaret Dunlap, Information Services; Heather Green, Eastover Branch; Chantelle Janelle, Technology; Ronisha Jones, Technology; Jane Long, Information Services; Susan Lyon, 1431; and Jim Staskowski, Sandhills Branch.
