GREENVILLE, SC – The Board of NEXT High School, a free, public high school bringing an innovative model of individualized education using project-based learning coupled with online delivered instruction, announced today that they have retained Smart Work | Network, Inc. of Greenville to lead their search for the first Chief Executive Officer for the school.
With its mission “to prepare students for life after school” NEXT High School students will work with teachers to create individualized schedules and deadlines for projects. They will be free to work individually and to be personally responsible for completing their own work while still meeting all of the requirements and standards set forth by the State of South Carolina Department of Education.
Zach Eikenberry, Chairman of the NHS Board, said, “We are excited to be working with Jane Allen and her team at Smart Work | Network to manage this search. NHS is not your everyday public education institution and Smart Work is not your everyday retained executive search firm. Their robust process and predictive Management assessments supported our decision.”
When asked about the assignment, Jane Allen, Founder and CEO of Smart Work, said “We were very pleased that the Board recognized the value of our unique approach and I personally love the vision of NEXT High School. It represents what we know is and will be required for successful careers in the Knowledge Economy. This CEO position for NHS requires a nice blend of critical thinking plus a personal touch and a lot of self-management effort to build this world- class institution. Our process is designed perfectly for sourcing and matching the right person and the NEXT High School Board recognized our capabilities for this.”
