NFL Star to Present Check for $100,000 to Blythewood High School

April 8, 2016

Blythewood High School graduate and NFL Pro-Bowl defensive back Justin Bethel will be at the BHS campus Friday, April 8 at 2 p.m. to present a check for $100,000 to the Blythewood High School Education Foundation.

Bethel graduated from BHS in 2008 and played for four seasons at Presbyterian College in Clinton. He was then drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft and has been tapped for the NFL Pro-Bowl for three consecutive seasons. He was recently awarded a three-year contract extension.

Bethel’s substantial gift will be used for various projects with specific designations for athletics and culinary arts, as Bethel was also a member of that program at BHS.

The check presentation ceremony will be held in the school’s atrium. BHS is located at 10901 Wilson Blvd. in Blythewood.
