Nika White joins the Furman University Women’s Leadership Institute’s Inaugural Class

GREENVILLE, SC – Nika White, the Greenville Chamber’s Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion, has been accepted to participate in Furman University’s Women’s Leadership Institute’s inaugural class.

The Women’s Leadership Institute of Furman is designed for women who have demonstrated successful leadership, community involvement and a desire to help others. It brings together a unique and powerful blend of knowledge shared by accomplished business leaders and experts from the academic community.

The purpose of the Institute is to provide participants with insights and ideas that are essential for navigating the increasingly competitive business world and learning the leadership skills of tomorrow. It provides participants with an advantage in today’s global environment while enhancing their appreciation for community and self.

Years ago I participated in Connections, Furman’s leadership program for women, and I am very excited to experience the next level of that training through the Women’s Leadership Institute.”

The Women’s Leadership Institute of Furman is designed for women who have demonstrated successful leadership, community involvement and a desire to help others. It brings together a unique and powerful blend of knowledge shared by accomplished business leaders and experts from the academic community. 

The Leadership Class of 2015 consists of 34 members who were selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants. The class includes leaders from diverse backgrounds in corporations, law, governmental agencies, educational institutions and non-profit organizations.

The conference sessions, which take place from January to April, feature expert speakers and corporate educators addressing real world challenges and creative opportunities in business environments. The purpose of the Institute is to provide participants with insights and ideas that are essential for navigating the increasingly competitive business world and learning the leadership skills of tomorrow. It also provides participants with an advantage in today’s global environment while enhancing their appreciation for community and self.
