Clemson former soccer champion and alum to share Nike’s brand marketing story

GREENVILLE, SC – Endeavor, a membership-based coworking community for independent companies and freelancers in the creative services fields, is hosting its next Collaborators & Cocktails, a monthly networking series for members and pre-registered guests, on Thursday, March 30. The speaker is Clemson alum Fabio Tambosi, who is the director of global football brand marketing and digital services at Nike. As a leading voice of one of the world’s most recognized and adored brands, Tambosi will share how Nike creatively harnesses the power of its athletes to connect to its global consumer base, using insights from athletes and the game to improve the individual, the sport, and their brand.

“Fabio’s experience driving positive change—connecting consumers with their passion for their sport and their loyalty for the Nike brand—can be applied to any sized client in any market. We are thrilled to have someone of his caliber sharing insights with Endeavor members on how to cultivate thoughtful engagement with a brand’s consumer,” said Joe Erwin, president of Erwin Creates and founder of Endeavor.

At Nike, Tambosi drives the strategy and execution of marketing support for football training apparel and services and leads the development of a training programming framework to enable football consumers to become better players in 16 key cities worldwide. He is also a key player on the team that is resetting the traditional brand management approach at Nike to one that leads with digital.

Before assuming his current position at Nike, Tambosi served as the company’s global brand manager for Nike Women’s and its territory brand manager for the global football World Cup in 2014. Prior to Nike, Tambosi served in global marketing positions at Nokia. Tambosi earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and an undergraduate degree from Clemson University, where as a member of the men’s soccer team, he helped them win the ACC Tournament championship in 2001. Tambosi also serves on the board of directors of the Erwin Center for Brand Communications at Clemson University.

Collaborators & Cocktails is a series of monthly professional development events that Endeavor hosts for members. The event starts with networking at 5:00 pm, with the speaker giving a presentation and Q&A session at 5:45 pm. The event is free to all Endeavor members and corporate members, with a limited number of guest tickets available for $25. Registration is required, no walks-in accepted.
