No Name Deli ribbon cutting
May 18, 2026Beloved Columbia deli officially celebrates its relocated downtown home while continuing the same fast, familiar service customers know and love — same menu, same staff, new address.
No Name Deli will celebrate its relocated downtown home with an official ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, at its Sumter St. location.
Though the deli has already made the move from its original downtown location, owners emphasize that the only thing changing is the address. Guests can still expect the exact same menu, the same staff, and the same quick, quality service that has made No Name Deli a staple in Columbia since the 1970s.
The new Sumter St. location offers a larger parking lot, improved restaurant flow, and closer proximity to the Main Street District, helping the deli better serve its loyal base of downtown professionals, residents, and longtime regulars.
Designed to improve efficiency for both dine-in and takeout guests, the updated space maintains the laid-back, no-frills atmosphere No Name Deli is known for while enhancing accessibility and day-to-day operations.
Since circa 1973, No Name Deli has served fresh sandwiches, substantial salads, burgers, and other deli favorites to generations of Soda City residents. Known for its fast service and local charm, the deli remains a downtown institution with a loyal following across the Midlands.
