The Who’s on the Move, Non Profit Minute is a quick, two-minute interview in support of the amazing impact that local non profits have on our communities.

We would like to thank our sponsors of this video series:

Becca Turner, Program Director, Little Steps

Little Steps is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive services to teen and young parents. They offer an environment of encouragement and accountability to help young mothers and fathers become more confident, self-sufficient parents. They accomplish this through three unique components:

Evidence-Based Nurturing Parenting Classes
Nurturing Parenting Programs are a family-centered trauma-informed initiative designed to build nurturing parenting skills as an alternative to abusive and neglecting parenting and child-rearing practices.

Case Management Utilizing the Evidence-Based Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) Model
Triple P is one of the most effective evidence-based parenting programs in the world. It gives parents simple and practical strategies to help them build strong, healthy relationships, and confidently manage their children’s behavior.

Parent-Child Enrichment Activities Aligning with the Evidence-Based Palmetto Basics
The Basics are five evidence-based parenting and caregiving principles that encompass much of what experts find is important for children from birth to age three, when 80% of brain growth happens.
