Bob Morris, President, Community Foundation of Greenville

The Community Foundation of Greenville enhances the quality of life in Greenville County by linking philanthropic leadership, charitable resources and civic involvement with needs and opportunities in the community.

In recognition of its 50th anniversary in 2006, the Foundation provided major funding for several community initiatives including The Kroc Center, Greenville Women Giving, and Lake Conestee Nature Park. The Foundation’s commitment to the Kroc Center was $1 million over a ten-year period and is the largest single investment in its history. It has revitalized an area of town that was very much in need of transformation.

Over the past several years, the biggest change to the organization is that they now try to align and connect local resources where it is appropriate.  The Community Foundation of Greenville is part of a new organization called the Greenville Partnership for Philanthropy that seeks to implement best practices and collaboration across the non profit community.
