The program is an early intervention service program designed to help improve the quality and availability of primary healthcare for those with HIV/AIDS.
The Ryan White Wellness Center is a comprehensive HIV clinic. The Center reaches out to the HIV-positive adults of Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties to provide access to essential medical care, case management and other supportive services as well as housing and health insurance assistance.
The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act of 2006 is named after a 15 year-old boy who experienced great discrimination because of his HIV status.
