Non Profit Minute – Nick Osborne, Lowcountry Food Bank

July 21, 2022

The Who’s on the Move, Non Profit Minute is a quick, two-minute interview in support of the amazing impact that local non profits have on our communities.

We would like to thank our sponsors of this video series:

Nick Osborne, President and CEO, Lowcountry Food Bank

The Lowcountry Food Bank (LCFB) serves the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina and distributed more than 40 million pounds of food in 2021. The Lowcountry Food Bank helps fight hunger by distributing food to more than 250 partner agencies including on-site meal programs, homeless shelters and emergency food pantries.

Nick Osborne has been at the helm of the LCFB since December 2020. He came to the organization with more than 30 years of professional experience as a leader in international development and humanitarian operations within the non profit sector. Nick’s priority is to ensure that every neighbor who experiences hunger has equitable access to healthy food. The need for food assistance remains high at 11.4% in coastal South Carolina. This is equivalent to more than 160,000 of our neighbors, of whom 45,540 are children.

The goal? Reduce food insecurity by 25% over the next five years over the LCFB service area. The strategies? Learn more about how they plan on achieving that goal here.
