The Who’s on the Move, BizSC, Non Profit Minute is a quick, two-minute interview in support of the amazing impact that local non profits have on our communities.

We would like to thank our sponsors of this video series:

Robert Smith, President & CEO, Palmetto Goodwill Industries

Since Goodwill Industries was founded in 1902, the organization has been committed to helping people help themselves. Locally, Goodwill has been serving lower South Carolina since 1979.

Palmetto Goodwill’s programs and services are funded through the sale of donated household goods and clothing in 30 retail stores across lower South Carolina. More than 90 cents of every dollar Goodwill generates helps provide support, education and job training for members of our community.

In 2018, Palmetto Goodwill provided over 41,000 services to 15,398 unique individuals in lower South Carolina. They also helped place 3,094 people in new jobs, trained over 4,100 individuals, served 960 veterans and attained 184 national certifications for program participants.

In the summer of 2018, Palmetto Goodwill leadership began developing a 2025 strategic plan to define and give greater focus to its efforts. The resulting plan establishes a well defined framework for Goodwill’s future growth, mission advancement and funding.
