Nordstrom Rack To Open In Mount Pleasant

SEATTLE, WA – Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN) announced plans to open a Nordstrom Rack at Bowman Place in Mount Pleasant, S.C. The approximately 34,500-square-foot store is scheduled to open in fall 2015. Bowman Place is owned and managed by Charleston based Grove Property Fund LLC.

The new Rack store will be a part of a total renovation of the former Kmart center and will be located just off Johnnie Dodds Boulevard and I-526.

“We have been looking for more opportunities to serve customers in South Carolina and we’re excited to bring a Nordstrom Rack closer to home for customers in Mount Pleasant,” said Geevy Thomas, president of Nordstrom Rack. “Bowman Place is an excellent location and we look forward to opening our doors next fall.”

When it opens, it will be the third Rack store in South Carolina. The company is opening their first Rack location at Magnolia Park in Greenville October 3 and will open a second location in Columbia at Harbison Court on October 24.
